The good news is that Olivia will be back next week!! (Yay!!) The bad news is I couldn’t help myself and I went ahead and planned out your next week too… 😬 Sorry not sorry. Take it up with management.

JUST ANNOUNCED

• First things first–Brian has just informed me that he will be judging the Nashville Beatdown Championship tonight at The Office. We’re down to one roll of Annie’s Fruit Tape (iykyk), so I might be refereeing the toddler version while he’s gone… What? OH… I’ve just been informed that this is a music event. Doors at 8 pm, Championship at 9:30 pm, first 25 RSVPs get in free. 

• Also tonight, the African Street Festival kicks off at 5 pm! Stop by Hadley Park today through Sunday to experience the food, art, music, community, and more! Send hope and love from Nashville to Africa by donating school supplies and writing notes of friendship to children living in Luila Village, Congo. Get involved and learn more here.

• It’s tiiiiime! 🎉 Celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated outdoor patio/music venue at El Fuego with three days, two stages, and 12 bands. From September 24th–26th, El Fuego Fest will feature live music and Corona beer specials all day. (I’m sure they’ll make you a frozen margarita too, if you ask nicely.) 

• The tragically romantic classic Giselle returns to TPAC’s main stage for the first time since 2009! The Nashville Ballet will present a reimagining of the haunting love story from October 2nd–4th, complete with new sets, costumes, and choreography, as well as live accompaniment by the Nashville Symphony (!!!). This will be the first full-length ballet choreographed by Artistic Director and CEO Nick Mullikin. Enter here to score a pair of tickets to Opening Night!

Mayor Freddie O’Connell will proclaim next Friday, 9/25, or 9 (to) 5, the inaugural Dolly Day in Nashville, marking a new annual tradition to honor Dolly Parton by loving on our neighbors with random acts of kindness and adding some extra sparkle to the world.
