As Earth Day approaches, I’m consistently wondering how we can do more to preserve our beautiful planet and protect it from the ensuing risks. It often feels like a heavier lift than what I’m able to comprehend, so sometimes it’s just better to step back for a moment, take a deep breath and go find a tree to admire, a nursery (like Gardens of Babylon) to walk through and support, or just see if a friend wants to go on a hike at one of our beautiful parks in and around the city. This felt like a good time to pull together an Earth Day guide: a bunch of easy ways to get outside, show up for something local, or just appreciate the city a little more than usual.
And if you’re in the mood to keep that energy going, there’s a poolside Spring Vendor Market at Grand Hyatt Nashville on April 26th that leans into all the good stuff. Local makers, pop-ups, and a solid excuse to spend a few hours wandering around instead of sitting inside. They’re giving away tickets, too, which makes it a pretty easy hell yes… go ahead and put your name in and see where it lands and bring your shades!*
