As Earth Day approaches, I’m consistently wondering how we can do more to preserve our beautiful planet and protect it from the ensuing risks. It often feels like a heavier lift than what I’m able to comprehend, so sometimes it’s just better to step back for a moment, take a deep breath and go find a tree to admire, a nursery (like Gardens of Babylon) to walk through and support, or just see if a friend wants to go on a hike at one of our beautiful parks in and around the city. This felt like a good time to pull together an Earth Day guide: a bunch of easy ways to get outside, show up for something local, or just appreciate the city a little more than usual.

And if you’re in the mood to keep that energy going, there’s a poolside Spring Vendor Market at Grand Hyatt Nashville on April 26th that leans into all the good stuff. Local makers, pop-ups, and a solid excuse to spend a few hours wandering around instead of sitting inside. Earth Day in Nashville isn’t just recycling your LaCroix cans and calling it a win. It’s festivals, cleanups, plant sales, and plenty of chances to get outside and pretend you’ve always cared about composting. Grab your reusable tote and go touch some grass. This is the one day everyone agrees it’s a good idea!
