At some point in my adult life as a local Nashvillian, I stopped going downtown as much. I think a lot of us do… you spend enough years here and start sticking to your neighborhood spots, avoiding Broadway, convincing yourself there’s nothing down there for you anymore. But lately, I’ve been noticing how much that has changed.
There are so many events happening across Nashville right now that it’s honestly hard to keep up, and one place I keep seeing pop up over and over is Nashville Yards. Between the concerts, food spots, pop-ups, green spaces, and everything happening around The Pinnacle, it’s starting to feel less like a development and more like an actual neighborhood worth wandering around in. Change is good.
So we rounded up a bunch of what’s coming up at Nashville Yards, concerts, hangs, pop-ups, all of it… because it’s becoming one of those places where you can accidentally have a full day.
Also floating onto my radar: “An Evening of Song and Celebration” featuring The Band of Heathens at City Winery on May 14th. Feels like the kind of show where everyone leaves in a slightly better mood than they arrived, which is something I am sure we can all agree is needed in the world right now. If that sounds like your kind of night, go toss your name in the hat!*
JUST ANNOUNCED
If you’ve ever wanted to hear The Wall loud enough to temporarily leave your body, Brit Floyd’s The Moon, The Wall and Beyond brings the full Pink Floyd spectacle to The Fisher Center at Belmont University on May 14th, with lasers, inflatables, giant visuals, all of it. Win your way up!*
Grammy Queen Chrisette Michele brings the Grounding: Room Only Tour to Brooklyn Bowl on May 22nd for a night of soulful vocals, grown-folk energy, and songs that sound even better out in the wild. We’ve got a pair of tickets for you, so enter to win and make a night of it.*
Meet & Three visits Harken Hall again on May 20th with John Cooper Albright, Future Crib, and Vivienne Blue sharing songs, stories, and the kind of stripped-down performances that hit a little harder in a small room. Snag two seats on us!*
Blues-soaked Southern rockers Parker Barrow roll into 3rd & Lindsley on May 17th with big guitars and bigger vocals, and enough road-tested energy to shake the room a little. Win your way into this one before your friends hear about it first.*
Watching Nashville’s Fourth of July fireworks from a rooftop with an open bar sounds like the kind of decision future-you will deeply appreciate. Rare Bird’s annual Free As a Bird VIP party on July 4th brings DJs, elevated food, guaranteed seating, and one very solid excuse to stay downtown all night. Come hang!*
Plus other just announced shows from Music City Roots, Spyro Gyra, The Rare Occasions, and more!
HAPPENING AT NASHVILLE YARDS
Between pop-ups, live music, and rotating events, Nashville Yards is starting to feel like its own mini district. Between The Pinnacle bringing in major shows, Hooky opening a dine-in movie theater meets bowling alley concept, a growing lineup of restaurants, a newly-minted IAMS dog park, and all the open plazas and green spaces to wander through, it’s become a true 19-acre hub for music, food, and everything in between right in the middle of downtown. And you can even sneak in some pickleball if that’s your thing!
This list breaks down some of the happenings over there so you can tap in without feeling like you’re missing out.

Friendly reminder to stretch your mind beyond the usual haunts and explore all that Nashville has to offer… even if it means navigating the ever-growing downtown parking nightmare. Which gives me an idea for a cheap-parking guide (coming soon)!
