Daily Email - Thursday - 05/28/2026

I’m excited today to share one of the best lists we’ve put together since I started my journey here with Do615, which is saying something, as there have been LOTS of good ones! We celebrate one of Nashville’s most beloved icons… the one and only… well, you know who I’m talking about. I’ll give you one guess! Scroll down to see if you were right.

And today’s giveaway might help you escape the heat and give you something good to drink: unlimited craft beer tastings, Smashville Eats, games, and a free Preds ticket all packed inside Bridgestone Arena for the Predators Craft Beer Festival on June 20th. Hydration is between you and God.*

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Khalid brings the It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour to Nashville Municipal Auditorium on June 3rd with all the smooth vocals, late-night energy, and sing-your-heart-out hits you already know by muscle memory. Expect a full night that paints the summer in the best light possible. Win tickets!*

  • I’ve been a huge fan of Imaginary Baseball League since the dreamy indie-rock days when Billboard called Murfreesboro the “next Seattle.” IBL hasn’t played a show in years, but they’re reuniting alongside locals The Protomen for their sold-out three-night run at Marathon Music Works. And if you missed tickets, they just announced a warm-up show at The Basement on June 15th. Don’t sleep on it!

  • Walkmen fans rejoice, as Hamilton Leithauser brings his solo creations, unmistakable voice, and beautifully indie rock energy to The Basement East on July 16th with local support from Josh Gilligan. If your silky ballads with a side of gravel, then win tickets and show up for this one.

  • Capricious turns the Fairlane rooftop into a breezy Italian summer fantasy through September 7th with spritzes, coastal cocktails, rooftop sunsets, and enough aperitivo energy to make you briefly forget you’re still in downtown Nashville. Come snag a beverage!*

  • Plus other just announced shows from Damien Jurado, A Place To Bury Strangers, Indigo Girls, and more!

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO ALL THINGS DOLLY PARTON

What can we say about Dolly Parton that hasn’t already been said? Words can fail when describing such a legend in Country Music, an advocate for literacy, a humanitarian, and hometown icon like Dolly. She is the only no-contest (“duh”) addition to our Mount Nashmore tee-shirt (forthcoming on Do615 Week!), for goodness sake.

We’ve honored her in our own little way by compiling a pretty dope guide to All Things Dolly Parton. True, the world has benefitted from her voice and her ability to craft a catchy tune, AND we can say we’ve been left with a better world thanks to her unmatched sense of altruism and inclusion, which goes way beyond her gold records.

Thank you, Dolly, for sharing that energy and for everything you do!

THIS WEEKEND

LOCALS ONLY

  • WNXP’s Summer Lineup Series is back with another season of free outdoor shows, proving once again that Nashville summers are best spent slightly sweaty, holding a drink, and discovering your next favorite band thanks to one of Nashville’s finest new music resources, WNXP. Treasure & support it!*

  • If your current career plan is mostly “figure it out later,” the Nashville Job Fair on June 16th at Grand Hyatt Nashville might help with that. Show up, meet actual employers, and maybe leave with something better than another unanswered application sitting in your inbox.

WIN STUFF

Just added a few more dance opportunities to the list from earlier this week, so get out there, get out of your head & into your body, and shake your booty a little.

Ciao for now,

Jason
