I fully support dancing like nobody's watching... mostly because that's the only time I'm willing to do it. Whether you've been taking classes for years or your signature move is just swaying at concerts with a drink in hand, we've rounded up the best ways to get involved with dance around Nashville. You might discover a new hobby, a new community, or at the very least, a new excuse to leave the crib.
For today's giveaway, three of Nashville's finest songwriters take the stage at the Franklin Theatre next Thursday, July 16th. Bradley Gaskin, Tim James, and Danny Myrick have written hits for everyone from Toby Keith and Jason Aldean to George Strait and Kenny Chesney. Enter now for your chance to hear the stories behind the songs, on us.*
JUST ANNOUNCED
This Saturday, Be The People Fest brings several local nonprofits, food trucks, and free sets from Nathaniel Rateliff, Devon Gilfillian, and more to Marathon Music Works, all with the goal of helping Nashville make an impact. Spend the afternoon giving back, then stay for the music.
Austin Mahone is bringing the It's Summer Tour to Tin Roof Broadway next Thursday, July 16th, for an up-close night of pop hits, cold drinks, and big sing-alongs. Grab your tickets before this party fills up.*
Summer evenings were made for this. On July 30th, Thursday Night Out returns to Cheekwood with live music, food trucks, cocktails, and after-hours access to the gardens. Enter now, we'd love to send four of you.*
Medium Build brings The King of Having Fun Tour to Brooklyn Bowl on November 20th, celebrating a new chapter with big hooks, bigger heart, and special guest Eden Joel. If you've been following their rise, this is one you'll want to catch in a room this size.
Plus other just announced shows from Goodbye June, Gene Farris, Bleary, Ivy Lab, and more!
GET INVOLVED WITH DANCE IN NASHVILLE
You don't need years of training or even good rhythm to get out on the dance floor. Whether you're looking for a new hobby, a fun date night, or just an excuse to leave the house, Nashville's dance community has something for everyone. From line dancing and ballroom lessons to salsa socials, ballet classes, ecstatic dance, and late-night EDM parties, there are plenty of ways to move, meet new people, and experience Music City from a whole new perspective.
The best part? Plenty of these classes welcome beginners, and quite a few won't cost you a dime. So grab a partner, bring a friend, or show up solo; everyone starts somewhere. Here's where to dance your way around Nashville.
