I just dropped off my husband at the airport for a boys’ trip, which means I get the pets alllll to myself this weekend. 😈 I’m talking extra extra snuggles, all the treats, and Benny sleeping on my side of the bed for once.

Benny loves any excuse to get out of the house, so naturally I started looking for something fun we could do together…and I think I found just the thing. Cheekwood’s Dog Nights of Summer is happening tonight, and we’re giving away tickets! A summer night at Cheekwood with my bestest bud? Hell yeah.

And if he’s still feeling restless, we might have to check out the Neon Zoomies dog rave at Urban Dog Bar on Saturday night. I’m starting to think the dogs of Nashville have more fun than we do (as they should).

• I went to a Nashville Sounds game last night and was excited to learn the team ranks 6th out of 10 in minor league attendance in the U.S. Personally, I think our hot chicken mascot and the Orange Dreamsicle frozen drink at The Band Box deserve at least some of the credit. ⚾
