Hey there! It’s Elizabeth Waters filling in for Olivia this week! You’re probably asking yourself, who is Elizabeth Waters? Well, I am married to the Brian Waters, General Manager at Do615. He also happens to be the most in-the-know guy in Nashville. He’s a unicorn Nashville native who grew up buying CDs from Grimey’s, hanging out at The Muse with a guy named Swingset (now it’s a Domino’s 🫤…Swingset is still around, though), and he survived Y2K at 12th and Porter. He’s the expert, I pay excellent attention. And I think I have pretty good taste, too. So–just trust me.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • FINAL WEEKEND - Running tonight through Sunday, September 20th, Live in Studio A is an intimate evening featuring George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante, as well as a selection of four new contemporary works choreographed by the Nashville Ballet’s Artistic Team and Company members. (I’ll be taking myself here for a little “Mom’s night out” date Saturday night…I’m pretty excited.) See you there??

  • Good vibes all around - Edie Brickell and Matt Chamberlain’s new improvisational folk-rock collaboration, World Famous Pets kicks off their fall tour at The Basement East on Wednesday, September 23rd. Eric Slick joins the lineup of monster players for a night of musical conversation + sonic exploration.*

  • Treat yourself to a new treasure (or a haunted doll to terrorize your husband!! 😈) at The Harvest Market at the Nashville Flea Market on September 25th, 26th, and 27th at The Fairgrounds Nashville. Enter for a chance to win Free Parking!*

  • The next concert on my own personal wishlist - The Dream Syndicate @ 3rd & Lindsley on Wednesday, September 30th. A little The Velvet Underground, a little Sonic Youth, with a sprinkle of The Church; I personally can't think of a better way to close out September and welcome in some cooler, brooding October vibes. Compete with me to win a pair of tickets!

  • Plus other just announced shows from John Lennon Tribute, JoJo, Dave Chappelle and more!

AMERICANAFEST IS HERE!

Chop chop!
