Daily Email - Tuesday - 05/12/2026

I can’t keep up with everything opening in this town anymore, and I’ve lived here basically my whole life. There was a time when East Nashville felt a whole lot smaller, when your options were basically Slow Bar, the hardware store, and whatever random place your friend swore had “the best burger in Nashville,” (Fat Mo’s?) Now? Blink once, and there’s a new cocktail bar, coffee shop, wine spot, or vinyl lounge opening in a building that used to sell mufflers.

Back then, hearing about a new spot meant everyone eventually checked it out. These days, keeping up would require a full-time job and probably a shared Google calendar. So if you’re feeling equally overwhelmed by Nashville’s endless glow-up, we pulled together some of Cleveland Park’s best gems, old favorites, newer standouts, and a few places worth pretending you discovered first.

And speaking of long-standing favorites, on May 21st, The Franklin Theatre’s Songwriters Series brings together Hall of Fame writers Victoria Shaw and Kent Blazy alongside hitmaker Rafe Van Hoy, the minds behind classics like “The River,” “Golden Ring,” and “I Love The Way You Love Me.” Expect huge songs, wild stories, and peak Nashville songwriter-round energy. Enter now for a chance to win a pair of tickets!*

JUST ANNOUNCED

BEST SPOTS IN CLEVELAND PARK (EASTSIDE)

If East Nashville’s progress doesn’t make your head spin, then maybe it just wasn’t attached to begin with. In an effort to keep a healthy cranial swivel, we’ve compiled some of the best spots to hang in just ONE of its most exciting neighborhood pockets, Cleveland Park. Maybe reducing the sample size will help? It’s got a little of everything, so apologies in advance to your calendars for mucking things up, but also, you’re welcome!
