Happy Tattoo-sday! Yep, you heard it right… I’ll be getting my second tat several years after my first, paying homage to one of my favorite projects I’ve helped put together, Salute Your Shorts night. A local film appreciation event that we brought back in March, and the next episode is TBD, so stay tuned for updates on the next one!

But enough about me for this week. I’d love to hear more about YOU and what you love to do in Nashville! I’m still taking ideas/submissions for our upcoming Local’s List entries, so nominate yourself or a friend simply by replying to this email, and aim BIG! Which Nashvillians (artists, local businesses, bloggers, show promoters, etc) would you like to hear from?

Didn't score tickets to Alan Jackson's final Nashville show? We've got the next best thing. Enter to win tickets to Belmont's live-stream watch party at The Fisher Center, where you'll catch Last Call: One More for the Road on the big screen, skip the stadium traffic, and be part of a historic night in country music.*

BONUS giveaway: Win Stuff Wednesday post coming a day early for you this week, courtesy of Pinewood Social. Win two passes to America’s 250th all-you-can-eat BBQ party with live music and a great view of the downtown fireworks without the claustrophobia.

SUMMER MOVIE NIGHTS IN NASHVILLE

Summer in Nashville means sweating through your shirt before noon and pretending it's normal. Luckily, the city also knows how to cool things down with outdoor movie nights. From family favorites in the park to cult classics under the stars, we've rounded up the best places to bring a blanket, grab some snacks, and watch a movie outside all season long.

DO615 MORE PRESENTS:

"It Paid For Itself With One Event."

We're not saying it. Our members are. One told us DoMORE "paid for itself for the year and then some with just this one event." Others credited it for helping them get out of the house and experience things they wouldn’t have without it. For our 5th birthday, get 12 months of Do615 MORE for just $50.*

LOCALS ONLY

  • The folks behind Fishmonger and Attaboy have a pretty good understanding of what makes a party work. Head to Fishmonger WeHo on June 29th for Mint Condition, featuring specialty cocktails, island-inspired food, and DJ-fueled summer vibes.*

  • A scoop of local pride: Nashville Scene is highlighting Lokelani Alabanza's journey from cookie queen to one of the city's most influential dessert makers. Grab a cone and give it a read.*

WIN STUFF

One of my favorite parts of working on this newsletter has been meeting people who care deeply about this city. Artists, venue owners, chefs, nonprofit leaders, weird collectors, musicians, event organizers, and the friend in your group that inevitably knows “a great spot for that."

So seriously, send me your Local's List nominations just by hitting reply. The more unexpected, the better.
