Daily Email - Tuesday - 8/4/2026

Hey there, Do615ers! 👋

My name is Olivia, and I'm so excited to join Do615 as the new Managing Editor & Community Lead.

What does that mean? I'm so glad you asked. 😄 It means you'll be hearing from me a lot. I'll be putting together our daily newsletter, sharing all kinds of fun stuff on social, giving away tickets (like to see St. Lucia at Brooklyn Bowl on 8/12 🎟️), and helping you discover the best things happening around Nashville (pretty much my dream job, nbd).

A few fun facts about me...

  • This month, I'm celebrating eight awesome years in Nashville! I moved here from Colorado with my rescue dog, Benny, who is the absolute love of my life.

  • Last year, I married my husband, Alex (who is the love of Benny’s life), and shortly after, our kitty, Bonzo, found his way into the fam (the cat distribution system is real, y’all 😹).

  • My favorite things include espresso martinis, animals, live music, plant-based food (any fellow vegetarians out there? 👀), and spending time with my people.

Okay, enough yappin’ from me. I'd love to get to know you! Reply to this email and tell me what new spot or show I should cover first!

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Your Wednesday plans just got smoother. Whiskey Wednesdays at The Bar Car are bringing midweek pours to Union Station Nashville Yards! IMHO, making it halfway through the week is cause for celebration, so let’s raise a glass.*

  • The 23rd Annual Tomato Art Fest returns to East Nashville's Five Points this Friday and Saturday, celebrating the tomato as "A Uniter, Not a Divider." Kick things off at the Art Pre View Party on August 6, then enjoy 225+ vendors, 350+ original works, live music, local food and drinks, interactive art, family-friendly fun, the iconic Push, Pull & Wear Parade, and more. Best of all? Admission is FREE. Let’s GO!*

  • Country artist Dylan Wolfe is headed to Tin Roof on August 14! Grab your friends, order a drink, and enjoy a night out on the town.*

  • Nashville Beatdown is keeping the action going at The Office through September 18, so you’ve still got some time to see what all the hype is about.*

  • Plus, other just announced shows from NE-YO, Little Big Town, The Mavericks, and more!

SOFT SERVE MARGS ARE HERE

Photo: COA Nashville Website

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of trying a soft serve margarita for the first time. Was it life-changing? Honestly...kind of. Naturally, I took the liberty of rounding up all the spots in Nashville where you can try one for yourself. You're welcome.

THE RYMAN PRESENTS:

Three Reasons to Return to the Mother Church

Photo: Ryman Auditorium Facebook Page

The Ryman’s upcoming calendar is giving you three very different reasons to sit in those famous pews.

American Aquarium brings its road-worn Americana and emotionally specific storytelling to the Ryman on August 14. If you enjoy songs that make a bad decision sound poetic, this one belongs on your calendar.

On September 11, outlaw-country favorite Paul Cauthen arrives with the kind of voice that sounds like it has survived several bar fights and lived to sing about them.

Then, the Indigo Girls take the stage on September 30, giving Nashville an evening of harmonies, singalongs, and the inevitable realization that you remember every word.

Pick your night…or make it a three-show situation.

  • Pour one out for a neighborhood classic. Burger Up officially closed its 12South location on Saturday after 16 years, leaving yet another hole in the lineup of longtime local favorites. 💔 I miss that Jack Daniel’s maple ketchup already.

Thanks for letting me introduce myself! I can’t wait for all the Nashventures coming our way.
