The Americana Music Association has crowned Fort Worth, Texas as the official 2025 Spotlight City at AMERICANAFEST® — Nashville’s roots and Americana takeover happening today through September 13th.

If you know Fort Worth, you know the city has always punched above its weight musically. It’s the birthplace of Western Swing, the stomping ground of legends like T Bone Burnett and Delbert McClinton, and the launchpad for modern greats like Leon Bridges. Now, Fort Worth’s rich musical DNA is headed straight to Nashville.

The highlight? The Cowtown GitDown on Friday, September 12th from 11:30AM-7PM at Tennessee Brew Works. Expect an all-out showcase of Fort Worth’s finest rising talent, served up with the perfect combo of craft beer, good eats, and that Cowtown charm.
